Millennium Youth Choir on BBC Radio 4
Listen to it again until Saturday 28 October
(you might like to fast forward as the first two minutes are part of Sunday's news)
There is a chance to hear the RSCM Millennium Youth Choir singing live on BBC Radio 4 this coming Sunday, 22nd October 2006. As part of its training weekend in Cambridge, the choir will be taking part in a service at the Roman Catholic church of Our Lady and the English Martyrs, to be broadcast live on “Sunday Worship” at 8.10am.
The service marks the beginning of One World Week, whose theme this year is “Mind the Gap”.
The worship will be led by Dr Tina Beattie of Roehampton University and Mgr Tony Rogers, who examine the spaces which can develop in our relationships between one another and with God. The music includes a mix of traditional hymns and African chants, and the choir will sing Living in a Holy City by Stephen Hatfield. The choir is directed by David Ogden, and the organist is James Sherlock.
Don’t forget that if you are unable to listen to the service live, it will be available on the BBC website “Listen Again” page for seven days following the broadcast: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/progs/listenagain.shtml
