New Regional Co-ordinator for South-West England

Christopher Helyer has been appointed RSCM Coordinator for the South West of England, following the recent retirement of Trevor Jarvis.

Christopher Helyer

At one time professional lay clerk and former headmaster of both Salisbury and Exeter Cathedral Schools, Christopher is presently Honorary Director of Music in the Dartmouth parish. He has a particular interest in South Africa and in 2005 founded the Mayenziwe project in the Eastern Cape which is committed to uplifting rural education there.

Trevor Jarvis

Trevor is well known to generations of RSCM members, not only for his splendid work as Coordinator, and before that, Assistant Regional Director, but also through his training of children and adults on courses, including many years as a housemaster on RSCM residential and cathedral courses. We are delighted that he has chosen to retire to Salisbury, where he has been willing to assist in the RSCM Office on particular projects including the arrangements for the Celebration Day in Llandaff Cathedral.
