We are looking for a dynamic and well-qualified Vocal Coach / Choir Master to provide vocal coaching and choir training to support the Singing Strategy of Twyford CE Academies Trust (comprising two schools in West London). 220416 Organist Vacancy – St Francis Petts Wood. Greencourt Road, Petts Wood, Orpington, Kent BR5 1QW. St Francis Church, Petts Wood are looking to appoint an organist to succeed the previous incumbent of 22 years. The successful applicant would work alongside the current Choirmaster, and a small Senior Choir. The church also has a separate Junior Choir. The Church is affiliated to the RSCM, and rates of pay are negotiable based on qualification, experience and RSCM recommended rates. The main requirements are to play at the Sung Holy Communion Service at 10:30 each Sunday (Family Service 1st Sunday every month), and weekly Choir practices each Thursday. Additionally there are festival services (such as Holy Week, Nine Lessons & Carols, Midnight mass etc.), and also occasional weddings and funerals, which attract additional fees. The Church has a rebuilt and restored 2 manual Willis organ that is regularly serviced and tuned. Whilst applications are welcomed from any suitable applicant, the position may appeal to a student organist looking for a first post.
