Introducing the music for the Area Festival (Saturday 29 September) – all from the RSCM book King of Glory, King of Peace. An opportunity for choir leaders to work through the music under Andrew Lumsden’s direction before preparing local choirs and in advance of the September rehearsals at Lymington, Basingstoke and Winchester.

Finding Your Feet: An Organist Workshop

In collaboration with the Winchester Area, we welcome back RSCM Deputy Director, Rosemary Field to lead this workshop for organists of all abilities and experience. Join us to uncover the delights of registration, polish up your performing skills or start to get to grips with pedal work. Under 18s must be supervised.

Come and sing Choral Evensong. Full programme will be available nearer the time. Suitable for individual singers and choirs in the Lyndhurst Deanery and wider area. Large car park near the church. Tea break between the rehearsal and service. Under 18s will require supervision: please inform Philip Dowd who the responsible adult is. Rehearsal at 16:00, service starts at 18:00.

This is the main Area event of the year. Choirs (robed and unrobed) and individuals are all welcome. Music has been selected from King of Glory, King of Peace (see above). Andrew Lumsden, the Director of Music, will rehearse the choir and lead the music in the service. Singers under 18 are warmly welcome but must come with a responsible adult.
