In the light of new legislation, the RSCM Policy and Guidelines for those working with Children and Young People are under review, and any changes to policy and procedures will be disseminated in due course.

Where do key responsibilities for protecting children lie?

The RSCM Safeguarding Officer is the first point of contact for any safeguarding matter.  For urgent safeguarding matters please call 07908 469587.

The RSCM’s Deputy Director (Education, Voluntary Networks & Safeguarding) has overall responsibility for safeguarding policy and procedures and will deal with any difficult issues referred by the Safeguarding Officer. The Deputy Director (Education, Voluntary Networks & Safeguarding) will also refer any critical decisions to the RSCM’s Senior Management team.
